I was in the 3rd or 4th class to transition at Hill afb.
Seems like they made only about 50. There was a noticeable
differance in tail rotor performance but the h43 was beter
at altitude heavy with no tail rotor at all. There were
problems with the hoist and other systems. At any rate local
base rescue units kept them for a very short time and then
switched to n models.<br>
