Text What you are inquiring about are called "Oil Cooler Inlet
Ducts" and are part of a factory upgrade to correct
irregularities in the oil cooler when hovering with a tail
wind. They are meant to allow cool air to enter the blower
area to stop the oil blower hanger bearings from
overheating.
